A Little About Me
I’m Kathryn (she/her), a UX Designer with a background in psychology and occupational therapy, and three years of experience working in the healthcare system. During my time in healthcare, I witnessed the human impact of system-level problems. Drawing on this as my primary motivation, I transitioned to the field of UX Design, which enables greater flexibility to address everyday problems at a higher level, with increased downstream impact.
I am passionate about designing within the public sector to better serve communities through products and services that support social innovation and sustainability. Throughout my career journey I have been motivated by a deep sense of wanting to create positive change by taking small steps toward better outcomes.
Applying my curiosity and passion for learning, I dive deep to fully understand problems and explore data-driven design solutions. I combine my critical thinking, organization skills, and attention to detail with a team-oriented, empathetic approach to designing products and services for a positive future.
“You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.”
